TSS Policy Gets Smarter: Renewals Made Easy and Rewarding

For over two decades, Tally has been central to delivering continuous updates, compliance, and connected services to our customers. Now, for the first time in 20 years, we’re introducing a major policy upgrade, designed to simplify renewals, reduce last-minute stress, and make timely renewals more rewarding for everyone.

What’s Changing?

Starting 1st December 2025, TSS will no longer follow the month-end expiry rule. Instead, subscriptions will now run date-to-date for one year from the purchase or renewal date. This means:

  • Renew before expiry → Customers enjoy 1 extra month FREE (making it 13 months of TSS validity).
  • Renew after expiry → Customers still get 12 months of TSS from the renewal date.
  • No more month-end rush → Renewals will be spread across the year, easing the pressure on both partners and customers.

Why This Change Matters

Under the current system, most renewals bunch up at the end of the month, creating unnecessary chaos, multiple follow-ups, delayed renewals, cash flow challenges, and higher chances of lapsed subscriptions.

With the revised TSS policy, renewals become more predictable and evenly distributed. This ensures:

  • Happier customers who benefit from a bonus month and stress-free renewals.
  • Partners gain more time for meaningful engagement and upselling opportunities.
  • Better cash flow with renewals staggered across the year.

Impact on Customers

  • New Customers (post Dec 1, 2025): The first year includes 12 months of TSS. From the second year onwards, timely renewals unlock the +1-month bonus.
  • Existing Customers: Renewals done before Dec 1, 2025, will follow the old policy. Renewals on or after Dec 1, 2025, will move to the revised policy.
  • GVLA & NGOs: The +1-month bonus is not applicable; they will continue with 12 months of TSS.

A Simple Example

If a customer’s TSS expires on 10th Dec 2025 and they renew before that date, their validity extends till 10th Jan 2027, a full 13 months. If they renew after expiry, they’ll get 12 months from the new renewal date.

Looking Ahead

This change is about more than just expiry dates; it’s about creating a smoother, more rewarding experience for our partners and customers. By encouraging early renewals, we can reduce last-minute stress, foster stronger relationships, and ensure that every customer continues to enjoy uninterrupted access to updates, statutory changes, and connected services.
