Adding Customer Details

The Customer Details window is as shown.

Customer Name & Address:

Customer Code: Enter the value, if the system parameter Customer Code User Assigned under the category Customer is enabled. Otherwise, the code is generated and displayed automatically.

Enter values in Customer Name, Address, Locality, Country, State and City. You can also enter the name of the Contact Person in the case of an enterprise customer.

Tax Type:

Price Group: Select a value from the list. Values in the list are those catalogued in the Customer Price Group option.

Dest. Tax Type: Select the destination tax type. This is available only if the system parameter Destination-wise Tax Grouping Applicable under the category Tax is enabled. The values listed here are those catalogued in general lookup under Destination-wise Sales Tax Group.

Phone & Email: Enter Office & Home phone, Mobile number, Fax number and Email id.

Additional Address: Click to add more addresses. This button is available only if multiple addresses are enabled.

VAT/ CST Details:

LST/ VAT/ TIN: Enter the registration number and select the date of registration.

CST Number: Enter the registration number and select the date of registration.

Payment Details:

Category: Select Cash or On-Acc from the list.

Terms: Enter the payment terms.

Credit: The values for Limit and Days as set in the Customer Price Group are displayed. You may change these, if required.

Credit Used: Enter the credit used by the customer, if required.

Transactions Allowed: Select the transactions allowed for this customer. The transactions possible are Cash Bill, Credit Invoice, Misc. Issue, Misc. Receipt and DC Generation. You may select any or all of these transactions.

Shoper Details: The information under this heading is applicable if the customer, whose details are being catalogued, is also a Shoper user. These details help in making the data exchange between the customer's system and your system easier.

Company Code: Enter the Shoper company code as in the customer's system.

Environment: Select Retail or Distributor depending on the environment in which the customer operates.

Flat File Format: Select the appropriate format from the list, in which the flat files have to be created.

Delimiter: Enter the delimiter to be used in the creation of flat files for data exchange.

Tax Inclusive: Select if the item rates used in the customer's Shoper are inclusive of taxes.

More: Click to add Price Factor and Bank/ Transporter details of the customer, if required. The button caption changes to Less.

Other Details: Click to enter personal & dependant details, customer profile, and tax & loyalty program details. Click here for details.

Note:

If you have any extension plugged-in for capturing data from other sources, a button named Get Custom Details appears to the right of Other Details. Click the button to use the plug-in.

In case you have an extension that does validation of the data entered on the screen, the same gets triggered when you click Ok. This extension can return an indicator to the catalogue program allowing to save the data, or forcing to cancel saving. This program can also display error messages related to  validation.
