Sheela Goenka: Chairperson Sheela Goenka, one of the founders of Tally Solutions, assumed the position of Chairperson of the Company in 2004, after Mr. S S Goenka was laid to rest. Since the founding of the company, she has participated in all its major decisions and board meetings and has detailed knowledge of its working. In the hectic period of the company’s high growth activities, she has been instrumental in ensuring balance in the company’s operations. In the early days, she has trained as a programmer and helped productise the programs developed by Bharat Goenka. Today, when the company has grown rapidly, she provides stability, wisdom and practicality to its leadership and management.
Bharat Goenka: Managing Director Bharat Goenka, one of the founders of Tally Solutions, has paved the way for the company’s enormous growth, from a small accounting software company, to a global IT solutions group. He is the original architect and programmer of the Tally Accounting System and inventor of the ‘no-codes’ concept for accounting entities – a path-breaking feature that made Tally the most preferred accounting software. Today, Bharat Goenka continues to be the chief architect of the company, with several innovations to his credit and a reputation for driving the use of new IT phenomena.
A technically sound business leader, Bharat Goenka sees Tally in the role of enabling technology, to take the ‘Power of Simplicity’ to clients worldwide. To this end, he is committed to constantly adding cutting-edge technology skills to the company’s portfolio. Strongly focused on his customers, he spends significant time, listening to them and understanding their needs. His in-depth market knowledge, combined with clear vision and prudence, has enabled Tally to successfully grow and expand its product offerings, from business accounting software, to education and enterprise business applications.
D. Kalyanraman:President, Global Services Business Since formalizing his long association with Tally, over a year and a half ago, D. Kalyanraman, has made major and valuable contributions to the company, in the Global Services Business. The Global Services Business includes Technical Services, Professional Services and Value Services, consisting of the Tally Services Centres, productised services and service channels.
Mr. Kalyanraman has been associated with Tally for over 18 years and was its most successful sales and implementation services partner in India, for over a decade. He has extensive product and technical knowledge and has developed several modules and solutions around Tally.
D Kalyanraman graduated with top honours from IIT and IIM, before going on to acquire extensive IT industry experience of over 30 years, in various functional areas. This included managing one of the largest ERP installations in India, in the eighties. He has promoted and managed several companies and has been involved with the design and development of many business application software products.
Avinash Gupta:Group Vice President, Global Education and Training Business Avinash Gupta brings to Tally, his 16 years of experience and expertise, in the Education and Training Industry. His unique blend of skills spans the designing and delivering of vocational and academic programs, catering to different industries. Over the years, he has successfully collaborated with universities, governments and public institutions and has spearheaded the launch of several global academic and certification programs. This invaluable experience in international business development, strategic alliances and relationship management, adds immense value to the new education division of Tally.
Prior to Tally Solutions Avinash Gupta was the National sales head at NIIT India, where he was instrumental in launching high-end training programs. Subsequently, as India Country Head for NCS-Pearson, he established the successful Certification business from ground zero, across the Indian subcontinent. He later joined the Dadabhai group in Bahrain, as Director Sales and Marketing, to manage the retail and vocational business across GCC and to work on the Bahranisation program.
